Instrumental post rock band from Adelaide, Australia
Driven by analogue and digital synthesisers whilst blending organic and electronic elements, Alignments intertwines post rock, cinematic, ambient and electronic elements to create a listening experience intended to take you somewhere else whilst creating a relation to the physical. The songs are interrelated as a whole piece of music that follows a concept based on the human experience intertwining sound and life.
The music that existed in my brain for a long time is now in sonic form thanks to my family, friends and in particular the following; Nick Gates for his mastermind behind recording, mixing, mastering & contributing guitars. Stefan who recorded drums and Sam Drew for the amazing artwork that ties in with the images in my head.
Thank you to those that listen – I hope you enjoy.

Review
Band from southern Australia of instrumental post rock, use textures in layers of environment, electronic, progressive, and experimental in an atmospheric cinematographic background.
Composed by composer and multi instrumentalist Dion Zisos, Nick Gates – Guitar, production & engineering and Stefan Vogiatzis – Drums
His first melody The Moment of Clarity takes us to a contemplative and synergistic scenario, and with a wonderful video.
His debut album “Alignments”, released on March 30, 2021 brings 06 melodies, immersive, creative, synthesized in counterpoint with distorted, noisy, metallic riffs, marked by bass and drums, with beautiful sliding fingerings and striking keyboards.
With a smooth and increasing cadence, its melodies bring a harmonious, contemplative tune in a cinematic landscape full of details and ecstatic feelings, reminiscent of the Tangerine Dream.
My favorite melody is Ekstasis, living up to the title, it is smooth, melodious, reflective, creative, well-structured, capable of raising our sensitivity to the edge of the apex of creation, an unspeakable preciousness.
A beautiful debut album, sensitive and refined, able to express our feelings in the appreciation of what surrounds us, I recommend.
