Instrumental post rock by Josselin, France
A couple both on stage and in reality, Fools In Love want to be the most symbiotic embodiment possible of their deepest musical… aspirations.
At the crossroads of post-rock and modern classical worlds, forming a link between the aspirations, as much romantic as experimental, of Doug Scharin, Masayoshi Fujita and Dub Trio, Fools In Love offers a sensory experience as universal as it is unique.
“Well, are there any other kind of lovers?
“This was the question Joe Jackson asked in 1979 in Fools In Love, a strange and incomparable reggae ballad conceived as a radical transition linking two of his lives. At once charming and cynical, their band name has a powerful resonance for Lou and Stéphane.A couple both on stage and in reality, Fools In Love want to be the most symbiotic embodiment possible of their deepest musical aspirations. Around an instinctive dialogue between the piano of one and the drums of the other, the duo develops atmospheres without words, swathed in nuance, exciting staged pieces whose themes progress harmoniously in polyphony as well as in dynamics, redefining space through an ingenious blend of loops and reverb. At the crossroads of post-rock and modern classical worlds, forming a link between the aspirations, as much romantic as experimental, of Doug Scharin, Masayoshi Fujita and Dub Trio, Fools In Love offers a sensory experience as universal as it is unique.”I should know because this fool’s in love again”

FOOLS IN LOVE – THE LAUNDRY CHRONICLES PART I: VOICES
Couple to life and on stage, Lou and Stéphane develop their shared passion with Fools In Love, piano and drum project author of The Laundry Chronicles Part I: Voices, his first EP. This collection of five compositions demonstrates the voluptuous post-rock and modern classical classical influences of this atypical duo from Josselin.
Between optimism and daydreaming, Fools In Love takes its first creation on an intriguing journey. Its communicative symbiosis is built around a polyphonic piano on which rests pleasant latent or marked rhythms. The Laundry Chronicles Part I: Voices resonates with dreamlike and sensory melodies whose strength is based on lightness and gravity. The ensemble sails among a penetrating phantasmagorious, at the whim of loops bringing it a certain power. While the process is laudable, it sometimes lacks new supports to take on a new dimension, with some compositions stretching in length without renewing themselves. Fools In Love still holds in suspense for its simple beauty, audible especially in the reverberations of its battery and its some arrangements of xylophone.
With The Laundry Chronicles Part I: Voices, Fools In Love gracefully invites us into its promising universe.
Fools In Love – The Laundry Chronicles Part I : Voices – KAPUT BRAIN WEBZINE
Beautiful post rock instrumental duo from Josselin, France.
They use layered textures of progressive, neo classic, experimental, improvisation, indie, jazz, morbihan, bretagne, and loops.
His debut album “The Laundry Chronicles Part I: Voices”, brings us six long, well-structured, refined, complex, immersive melodies, full of feelings with a unique tuning and precision.
With a smooth and enveloping cadence, his work provides a glimpse of a creation carried by a vast bag of influences, synthesized with an impressive skill and skill.
Its dreamlike and sensorial melodies full of details provide an ecstatic softness in an oscillating and creative soundscape.
Magnificent debut album, I recommend
